What Is THC-JD

We’re excited to introduce you to a new cannabinoid: THC-JD. This novel compound was only discovered in 2020, so there isn’t much information about it yet. However, we’ve done some research and want to share what we’ve learned so far. THC-JD is a powerful cannabinoid that has shown promise in treating a variety of conditions. What Is THC-JD?

The jury is still out on whether or not the industry will adopt “THC-JD” or “THC-jd” as the official acronym for this THC variant. We know that scientific research is hard to come by, and the only information available is from anecdotal and firsthand experience.

Unlike THC-P, Delta-8, or HHC–which are only found in minuscule amounts as is the case with most minor cannabinoids–THC-JD occurs naturally. Unlike other cannabinoids that must go through a process of being synthesized or isomerized, this one can be extracted directly from hemp or marijuana plants.

How Strong is THC-JD?

Unlike THC, which only has five carbon chains, THC-JD has eight. From our experience with otherTHC variants, we know that this extra side chain means it will establish a stronger bond with the CB1 receptor–andcreate an intensified high as a result. In fact, studies show that THC-JD is 19 times more potent than Delta-9TCH and 25 times stronger than Delta8-THC.

Despite its 33x strength, THC-P is not the most potent cannabinoid. In fact, science tells us that it’s THC-JD. However, we should take these claims with a grain of salt since they’re currently only anecdotal and have not been backed by any scientific labs yet.

Effects and Benefits of THC-JD

Users report that this novel cannabinoid feels much like regular THC, but more. So, if you usually smoke a THC vape pen and feel happy, hungry, and sleepy, then assume you will be happier, hungrier, and sleepier with THC-JD. However consuming too much of any psychoactive cannabinoid can have many unpleasant side effects.

Cannabis affects people differently, and we are still learning about THC-JD. Some people report feeling paranoid, anxious, dizzy, nauseous, or uncoordinated after taking it. Others have said that it makes them feel more relaxed or “couch-locked.” Still others find it energizing and mood-boosting.

Is THC-JD Legal?

With the 2018 Farm Bill legalizing hemp, products made with industrial hemp containing high levels of CBD have become available to purchase and consume. This subsequently led to other cannabinoids becoming popularized, some of which cause psychoactive effects. THC-JD is one such cannabinoid that produces these desired euphoric effects; however, its legal status hinge upon its source. UnlikelyYESorNO; it all comes down to origins.

The only way THC-JD can be sold is through dispensaries in states where weed is legal. However, if it’s extracted from hemp instead of marijuana, then it falls under a legal loophole. The only condition is that theDelta-9 THC content must not exceed 0.3%.

Will THC-JD Show Up On a Drug Test?

Although there is not much evidence to support the idea that THC-JD will show up on a drug test, it is better to be safe than sorry. Other types of THC have been known to trigger a positive result, so it stands to reason that THC-JD would as well. Standard drug tests can only determine whether or not recent drug use has occurred based off of THC metabolites and cannot tell the difference between hemp and marijuana. If you need to pass a drug test in the near future, steer clear of all cannabinoid products.

Where to Find THC-JD Products

Although it is relatively new, THC-JD can now be found in markets across the globe.
